SINÓPSIS
We the Hispanos is a historical documentary that explores the deep and often forgotten footprint of Hispanic culture in the formation of the United States. Through a journey spanning more than five centuries, the film reveals how Hispanic explorers, missionaries, soldiers, artists, and communities have contributed decisively to the country’s cultural, social, and historical development.
From the first Spanish expeditions in North American territory to the current influence in areas such as music, art, and traditions, the documentary proposes a reinterpretation of the dominant historical narrative. Through expert testimonies, references to key figures, and an informative approach, the work highlights a legacy that remains alive, but which has frequently been ignored or underestimated.
Ultimately, We the Hispanos not only recovers the past, but also invites reflection on the contemporary cultural identity of the United States, underscoring the essential role of Hispanidad in its construction and its future.
