Contemplation
SINÓPSIS
In the summer of 1983, a few days before the birth of his first child, writer and theologian John Hull became blind.
In order to try and make sense of the upheaval in his life, he began to record his thoughts and perceptions on audio tapes as a diary. Following its publication in 1990, Oliver Sacks described the work as ‘the most extraordinary, precise, profound and beautiful account of blindness I have ever read. It is to me a masterpiece.’
With exclusive access to these original recordings, NOTES ON BLINDNESS spans dreams, memory and the imaginative life, excavating the inner world of blindness.
