SYNOPSIS
Salvo is a clumsy and roguish thief specializing in sacred art. One day, he tries to get his hands on an extremely valuable piece that is to be publicly displayed in a living nativity scene carefully prepared by Father Valentino. But everything goes wrong: the priest catches him red-handed, and a chase ensues that ends "as if by magic" with a journey back in time 2,000 years to Palestine, just days before the birth of Jesus.
The priest and the thief will have to reach an agreement to find the real protagonists of the "nativity": their only chance of returning home. But in their path stands a king, Herod, who has heard of some "Wise Men coming from afar" searching for a child... and he won't stop until he finds them!
